At the start of the year I decided that this year I’d like to complete more games. I’d been getting lazy in regards to finishing games and getting Gamerscore. With that in mind I set myself the task of finishing 100 games across the whole year.

The rules are pretty simple. Generally, the game will be deemed as complete when I have either finished the single player campaign, or finished all the achievements the game has to offer. That way I’m fulfilling my goal of getting more Gamerscore as well as finishing games off. I also want at least 25% of the games to be full story completions, so I’m not just rattling off a load of easy Gamerscore games.

For games that have no single player element, such as Fortnite, I will decide the point at which I deem it completed. For instance, with Fortnite, I would say that reaching level 100 and completing the Battle Pass would count as a completion. The time it takes to do that is way longer than 10-20 hours which is more than most single player games. The same goes for games that have no real completion point, such as sports games. Once I’ve done all the tournaments or whatever, I’ll find a point at which I feel satisfied that I’ve “Finished” the game and it will be classed as a story completion.

So far I have completed 94 games out of my 100 target. I do plan on going for 200 now that I’m so close to that. Of those games so far completed, I have 59 story completions, which puts me at 63%, well over my 25% goal. Onwards to 200!
