It’s been almost a month since I last posted. Last month was the busiest in the site’s history (This version of the site anyway. There was a busier month once, Ahhh, them were the days.) Anyway, it’s been ages since my last post and I thought I should throw something up. Word vomit, basically.
How’s everyone been? The last 3 weeks have been pretty full for me. Work has been busy as has home. New board games to play, new owners at the Shopping Centre. It’s all go! That’s enough about work though, so let’s talk board games!
New stuff I’ve played this month:
Mysterium – The bastard child that would occur if Dixit fucked Cluedo. Amazingly good game, fun, interesting, varied. Can’t sing it’s praises enough. Ideal with 4 to 7, but perfectly playable with 2 or 3 since it has a slight variant for a lower number group of people. One person plays as a ghost (Kate genuinely played a whole game of this thinking I was a goat.) and shares visions with the rest of the players, who are mediums, about who killed them. The ghost can’t talk and can only communicate through images.
Star Wars X-Wing: I succumbed to getting this AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS ago and it’s been sat under my desk and I forgot about it. Still haven’t played it in fact, but I have watched a YouTube vid in order to learn the rules.
Roll For It: Just ace. Simple dice rolling game that has easy rules and a decent level of strategy. Good to take with you as well since it’s essentially a deck of cards and 6 dice per player. Brill.
So yeah, I’ve played some new stuff. Anyway, I’m going to go play pool, so go away.
